John D. Agogliati

AGOGLIATI, John D. John D. Agogliati, 90, of Bellevue Terrace, Cromwell, died Thursday, (December 25, 2008) in his home. He was the husband of the late Phyllis Mangini Agogliati. Born in New York City, June 8, 1918, a son of the late John and Maria Manfredi Agogliati, he grew up in Portland and had lived in Middletown before moving to Cromwell in 1973. He had been employed at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft, in Middletown, for many years until his retirement in 1981. He was a parishioner of St. John Church in Middletown. He is survived by his daughter, Florence M. Agogliati of Cromwell; his son, John D. Agogliati, Jr., of Sammamish, WA; his grandchildren, Lisa Reagan, John D. Agogliati, III, Lorenzo Agogliati, Stefano Agogliati, and Giancarlo Agogliati; his great-grandchildren, Tessa Reagan, Ashley Agogliati, and John D. Agogliati IV, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sisters, Perina Walsh, Clara Agogliati, Lena Dykas, and Rose Manfredi, and his brothers, Albert Agogliati and Dorando Agogliati. His family will receive relatives and friends in the Portland Memorial Funeral Home, 231 Main St., Portland, Monday from 4-7 p.m. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10:15 a.m. from the Portland Memorial Funeral Home and at 11 a.m. in St. John Church in Middletown for the Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery in Portland.
