John Donofrio Obituary
John Donofrio of East Hartford passed from this life on May 21. He joins his sisters, Diane Dougela, Linda Dougela and their parents, John (Giovanni) Donofrio and Anna (Sebastiana Rossitto) Donofrio. John was born in Hartford in 1942. Growing up in the South End, he enjoyed Sunday dinners and having extended family nearby. He was a veteran of the US Air Force then worked in retail grocery, retiring in 2008. He loved bowling, traveling, the NY Giants, UConn basketball and movies. John is survived by his granddaughter, Athena Marie Richter and her husband William, by his son John Paul Donofrio, Jr and by his daughter, Sarah Beth Brochu and her fiancé Shawn. He also leaves his wife, Nadeen and two aunts, Pat Marsh and Fran Donofrio. A celebration of John's life will be held on June 10th, 2-5pm in East Hartford. A brief committal memorial will be observed on John's birthday, June 29th at 10:00am at St Joseph's Cemetery, section 2G, 99 Jackson St, Willimantic, CT.

We want to extend our sympathies to my cousin Johnny (Boy)'s family on your loss. We always had fun when Johnny was around at any family function . I still can picture him with Auntie Vi, Uncle Dominic and Uncle Johnny getting the band ready to play! What a cast of characters and we loved him very much. God Speed Johnny !

Donofrio Family,
I used to work for Coca -Cola and dealt with John . He was a guy that always said what was on his mind . Though he was always fair if you worked you were given preferential treatment if you did not do not expect to get that kind of treatment . That is why I respected John . We had a lot of conversations on our beloved New York Giants . He was a good man . I am sure he will be missed . RIP Big Man .
