John J. LOZINSKI

LOZINSKI, John J. John J. Lozinski, 97, of Burlington and formerly of Bristol, husband of the late Mary (Cichon) Lozinski, died Sunday (April 25, 2010) at Bristol Hospital after a brief illness. Born in New Britain on June 22, 1912, he was the son of the late Michael and Alexandria (Wysocki) Lozinski. In 1971 John retired from General Motors (New Departure) in Bristol after 39 years of service where he had worked as a set-up man. John was an avid salt water and fresh water fisherman and was a member of St. Stanislaus Church in Bristol. John had been recorded as the oldest surviving member of both the Bristol Polish American Citizens' Club and the Bristol Senior Center. He is most lovingly survived by two sons and their wives, Leonard and Claire Lozinski and John T. and Janet Lozinski of Burlington; a sister Pauline Ladzinski of Connecticut; son-in law Larry Funderburk of Florida; seven grandchildren Mitchell, Michael, Jacqueline, Debra, Donna, Cheryl, and Kristen; nine great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by one daughter Patricia Funderburk, four brothers Anthony, Stanley, Frank, and Joseph; and two sisters Mary and Gina. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 30 from the Stanley Suchodolski Funeral Home 444 West Street Bristol. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Stanislaus Church at 10 a.m. Visitation at the funeral home is Friday before the Mass from 8:30 - 9:30 p.m.
