John A. Weir

John A. Weir, 60, of East Hampton and formerly of Glastonbury passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, February 5, 2023. He was the beloved husband of Rebecca (Charbonneau) Weir. Born in Manchester, he was the son of the late Ernest and Joan (Hellstrom) Weir. John worked as a truck driver for Melzen Pet Supply for many years. He enjoyed spending time on his farm working in his vegetable garden and caring for his chickens and goats. He looked forward to rides with Becky in his truck. He loved spending time with his family and Saturday lunches with friends. In addition to his wife, John is survived by his 4 brothers and their spouses, Leverett and Lynn Weir of Hebron, Ernest Weir of Glastonbury, Edmund Weir of East Hartford, Dale and Annemarie Weir of Glastonbury, and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Lance Weir, his 2 sisters, Susanne Weir and Laura Finocche, her husband Biff, his sister-in-law Lee Weir, his aunt Diane Lingner, and many other aunts and uncles. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at 11:00 am at Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury. Burial will be in Neipsic Cemetery.
