I didn't know Johnny Whitaker that well at all.. but we did meet and said hello many times. He seemed to be a good man of God. Mr Whitaker did however know both my mom Gwendolyn Smith and my Aunt Linda Thomas very well. They will miss him very much.. and so will I.. but we know that in Christ Jesus we will never die but already have eternal life Amen!

My condolences and prayers goes out to Uncle Whitaker's family. I will truly miss him. There are some people throughout your path that you have a genuine love for and truly treats you as though you are family. He was stern but very gentle and caring. I'll miss singing under your leadership. Love you Uncle Whit, your nice Denyse aka "Nicey"

Mother Ruby Kelley and Family is sending our deepest sympathy and prayers to the family. Johnny was there for me and my family in the passing of my husband/father/grandfather, Deacon Cecil E Kelley in October of 2015. Words cannot express the love we had for Johnny. He is more than a friend to myself, children and grandchildren. He was family. He will truly be missed.
