Joseph Cicero Obituary

Joseph Cicero, Jr., 91, of Windsor, beloved husband of the late Mary (Rooney) Cicero, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at Hartford Hospital. Born in Windsor to the late Joseph Sr. and Rosa Maria (Gionfriddo) Cicero, he lived all his life in Windsor, spending some of his time after retirement in Holly Hill, FL. He was a graduate of Windsor High School and served his country proudly with the US Army during WWII. Joseph ran the J. Cicero Construction Company for many years before owning and operating the Cicero Brothers Tobacco Valley Service Center in Windsor. He was a member of the American Legion in Windsor and served as a Justice of the Peace for the Town of Windsor. He enjoyed fishing and gardening, but his true passion was his family, especially his grandson, of whom he was extremely proud. He is survived by his son Joseph Cicero, III of Windsor; his daughter Susan Cicero of Windsor; his brother Michael Cicero; his sister Gloria Sward; and his grandson Frank J. Corbett. Besides his wife and parents, he was predeceased by his daughter Catherine Cicero, his brother Anthony Cicero and his sisters, Rose Cicero and Asunda Cicero Bryll. His family will receive friends on Thursday, December 27 from 4 PM to 7 PM at The Lodge, 130 Deerfield Ave Windsor. Burial in Windsor Veterans Memorial Cemetery will be private at the convenience of the family. For online condolences please visit www.carmonfuneralhome.com

Our sincere condolences go out to you on your father's passing. Both of your parents had a great friendship with our Mom and Dad; and then when both of our Moms passed, your father and mine kept in touch weekly. So sorry for your loss.
