Joseph Flemming Obituary
REV. JOSEPH H. FLEMMING, 88, of Bainbridge, GA; the Angel of God came by to assist with his transition on October 26, 2015. Rev. Flemming was the son of the late Rev. George Flemming and Mary (Donaldson) Flemming. After leaving Bainbridge, he joined the Hopewell Baptist Church in Hartford, CT. In 1950, Rev Flemming joined the United States Armed Forces and was a member of the Korean Conflict. He was educated in Decatur County School System. He was ordained to preach the gospel February 8, 1959 by the First Baptist Seminary. Rev. Flemming leaves to mourn, a wife of forty years, sons; Alvin Flemming, David Flemming, Jerimiah Flemming,and Job Flemming, daughters; Ruth Flemming-Boyd, Rachel Flemming-Bell, Rebecca Flemming, Paula Flemming, Sarah Flemming and Miriarm-Flemming Thomas; sisters, Hester Mills, Elviria Williams and one brother, John Flemming.

my name is Jerry Mcnair Jr from windsor, ct and this man touched my life when I was a young boy. my dad was Jerry Mack and owned a nightclub in hartford. I was the oldest boy and was torn between my father and mother who had split up. I was 10 or 11 yrs old. I had no older brother nor example to help me become a man. I met rev. flemming thru my mother who started going to his church in htfd on tower avenue and we lived in stowe village. I admired him and wanted to know God because of him and he was patient with me and answered all my silly questions.he was a kind man. I felt God when I was around him.I never knew when I would see him but when there was a crisis in my family he would show up. he knew how to encourage people. I always wanted to catch up with him and thank him for being my friend but lost track of him. I only wish I could have seen him one time before he left. he doesn't know I met God and live for him now and preaching the gospel like he did. I guess I'll have to wait and see him when we all get together around the kings table in glory.
