Joshua Zononi Obituary

Joshua K. Zononi, 18, of Greenwood Rd., Windsor Locks beloved son of Lee (Ruggiero) Zononi of Windsor Locks and Kenneth J. Zononi of Windsor Locks died Tuesday, (May 20, 2003) from injuries he received in an automobile accident with his cousin, Justin Blow. Josh was born in Hartford and lived in Windsor Locks all of his life and graduated Windsor Locks High School in 2002. Josh was employed at the Sheraton Hotel at Bradley International Airport until October 2002 and at the Transportation Security Association since November 2002 at Bradley Field. He loved cars, basketball, fishing, his computer, and visiting the OTB with his grandfather. Besides his parents, he is survived by his step mother, Mary Zononi; his two sisters, Ashley and Shannon; his grandparents, Patsy and Marion Ruggiero and Lawrence Zononi all of Windsor Locks; his aunts and uncles, Linda Ruggiero, Leslie Blow, Tracy and Emilio Fuentes, Michael Zononi and Charlene Zononi; close cousins, Scooter, Terri, Mandy, Mike, Adam, Nathan, Luke, Holly, Jennifer, and Aaron. He was predeceased by his grandmother, Charlotte Zononi. Relatives and friends will gather Saturday at 12:30 p.m. at the Windsor Locks Funeral Home, 441 Spring St., Windsor Locks for a procession to St. Mary Church where a Mass for Joshua and Justin will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery. Their families will receive friends TODAY from 5-8 p.m. at the Windsor Locks Funeral Home.

Josh, honey, you left us with unanswered questions. This was not like you. You were the sweetest guy I knew. You were very quite,(unlike your cousin Justin) shy, and full of promises. In some way you and Justin were alot alike. You two were more like brothers than cousins. You two were the opposite of each other but the same love you had for each other. You two clicked togather and looked out for each other. We are all still in shock of this accident. I hope you will look out for us all. Knowing you, your quite, but will still let us know your around. You will be missed son, more ways than you'll ever know.
