LEEDS, Judith L. Judith L. Leeds, "a woman with impeccable taste", died Sunday (May 15, 2011) at her home in West Hartford, CT from cancer. Growing up in Stamford, Judy moved to West Hartford and attended the University of Hartford. Following her creative instincts and skills she joined Harry Flisher as buyer of woman's accessories, handbags and shoes and worked at the store until it's sale. Working many years at Pragues in the Hartford Civic Center and then at Footprints in Newington she earned a reputation from a significant following of women throughout the Hartford area for her unique ability to bring them quality and fashionable shoes, handbags and accessories. A woman with a wonderful and wry sense of humor, Judy always had a story to tell and time to engage others to learn about their lives. Judith Lynn Leeds was born in Greenwich, CT in 1949. She is survived by her long time partner Michael Goldberg of West Hartford, her brothers Richard of Leland, NC and Stephen of Atlanta, GA, nieces Allison Bucchere of San Francisco, Jennifer Popken of Baldwin, MD, and nephews Michael of San Francisco and David of Seattle, WA.
