June Higgins Obituary

June Baker Higgins died in Columbia Maryland on February 28th after a year long battle with cancer. She was 85.

Born in Dayton, Ohio to Ray and Evelyn Baker, June grew up in the Mohawk River Valley of New York. She graduated from Vassar College in 1959 and earned a Ph.D. in Psychology from the University of Rochester in 1967. Her more than 30 year career in education was spent at Central Connecticut State University.

June is survived by George, her loving husband of 63 years, her son David Higgins and wife Jane, her daughter Amanda Higgins Martin and husband Chris, her niece Margit MacDougall and husband Alan, three grandchildren Bennett, Sam, Georgia and grandnephew Ian.
