Kathleen Sturtevant Obituary

Kathleen Eva Marie (Pentalow) Sturtevant 74, of Port Orange, FL, beloved wife of William "Bill" Sturtevant, passed away on November 28, 2022, after a short illness. Kathy was born in Hartford, on May 22, 1948, to the late Shirley (Reid) Panella Pentalow and Harry W. Pentalow. Kathy attended Newington schools and she worked for many years in the service industry. She owned her own restaurant in Daytona Beach FL. in addition, she worked for the town of Newington. Kathy was known to have a huge heart, she would truly give away her last dime to help a friend, and would stand up at all costs to protect her friends and family. She was a caring mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to all that had the opportunity to meet her. She was especially proud to a be a grandmother to all her grandchildren. In addition to her husband of 38 years, Kathy leaves her two sons, Robert Wieland and his wife Pina of Mandeville, Louisiana, William Wieland and his wife Amy of Newington, CT., two stepsons, William Sturtevant and his wife Susan of Lakeland, FL and Doug Sturtevant and his wife Jill of Old Saybrook, CT. She also leaves her siblings, James Pentalow and his wife Susan of Deerfield Beach, FL, and Thomas Pentalow and his wife Jacqueline of Wethersfield. She will also be dearly missed by her many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Kathy was predeceased by her sisters, Margaret Sarubbi, and Patricia Cetran. Over the years as Kathy's neighbor we had become close and prayed often for each other.Kathy house sat when I was away on vacation and I always looked out for Bill and kathy when situations arose in the neighborhood.Kathy prayed for me many times while I was battling cancer this year and mentioned her situation which I prayed for her return to better health.I will and I already am missing this wonderful women and dear friend.
