Kevin Doherty Obituary

Kevin John Doherty, 60, of Manchester, died Tuesday, (January 8, 2002) at Manchester Memorial Hospital after a short and merciful death due to Cancer. He was born, raised and lived in Manchester all of his life. He will be remembered as a lifelong musician who brought great happiness and joy to people through his music. He is loved by many and will be missed. He loved to garden and truly enjoyed being the "Grill Master" at many a social function. He served his country as a National Guardsman, was a true American and loved his country with passion. He enjoyed his job at Foreign Auto Parts and will miss working with such a wonderful group of people. Besides his beloved wife, Dorothy, Kevin is survived by his mother, Dorothy C. Doherty; a son and daughter-in-law, Sean and Barbra Doherty; a daughter, Wanda Zboray and her special friend, Jack Farmer; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Deidre and Dave Foster and Roisin and Jim Cronin; two sisters-in-law, Alyne Carter and her husband, Al and Barbara Callahan; three granddaughters, Samantha, Taylor and Kaylee; several nieces and nephews; and many many musician friends, too numerous to mention by all of their names. A memorial service will be held at a late date. Providing care to the Doherty family is Guiliano Sagarino Funeral Home at BROOKLAWN, 511 Brook St., Rocky Hill.
