KNIGHT, Laura L.
Laura L. (Naaman) Knight, 98, of Bloomfield, beloved wife of the late Charles C. "Coby" Knight, died peacefully on Sunday (November 6, 2011) at the Hospital of Central Connecticut, in New Britain. She was born on December 2, 1912 in Plainville, CT. Laura was a graduate of Plainville High School with the Class of 1930 and went on to obtain a Bachelor's Degree from Livingstone College in N.C. While in college she pledged Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. A resident of Bloomfield for over 75 years, Laura worked for Aetna Life & Casualty for many years and was a member of the Bloomfield United Methodist Church, where she enjoyed singing with the choir in her younger years. Active within the Bloomfield community, Laura also volunteered at the Bloomfield Senior Center and on the Bloomfield Commission on Aging. In her retirement she enjoyed traveling and had the opportunity to see many places around the world. Laura was a kind, caring and devoted, wife, sister, aunt and friend who will be greatly missed. Laura leaves to mourn her loss, many nieces, nephews and cousins, including her beloved niece, Karen (Browne) Pilgrim of West Hartford, CT. The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to Laura's caregivers, Julia Gonzalez and Larry Mathews for their love and kindnesses extended towards her over the years. Besides her husband, Laura was predeceased by her sister, Sophia (Naaman) Browne of Plainville, CT.

I am very sad about the passing of Aunt Laura, but we can take comfort in knowing that she is now with her heavenly family and no longer suffering.
You were most certainly her 'most beloved' having made her final years on this Earth as comfortable as you could, especially by making it possible for her to stay in her own home. Love, Barb
