Laura A. Sullivan

Laura A. (Zukowski) Sullivan, 60, of West Hartford CT, beloved daughter of Mary Alice (Boyle) Zukowski and the late Vincent F. Zukowski Jr., passed away peacefully on Monday, September 13, 2021, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Laura was born in West Hartford and was a graduate of William H. Hall High School. From there, Laura went on to study finance at Central Connecticut State University where she obtained her master's degree. She spent 30 years building her career in the insurance industry, with her most recent position being the VP of Program Business Development at AIX Group. Laura was respected and loved by her coworkers, whom she spoke of often and considered her dear friends. Laura is survived by her beautiful daughters, Meaghan (Sullivan) Pizzoferrato and her husband Andrew Pizzoferrato of Broad Brook, and Kerri Sullivan of West Hartford. Her brother Stephen Zukowski of Bloomfield, sister Martha A. Cudo and her husband Steven of West Hartford, nieces Rosemary Zukowski, Rachel Cudo, and Johanna Zukowski, nephews Jonathan Zukowski and James Cudo, her cherished extended family, Michael and Mary Anne Perruccio, and best friends Kathleen Ost Carey, Guilio Della Ragione and Bob Schultz. A celebration of Laura's life will be held on Thursday September 16, 2021 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Sheehan Hilborn Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Ave. West Hartford, CT. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m on Friday September 17, 2021 at the Church of Saint Mark the Evangelist, 467 Quaker Ln S, West Hartford, CT 06110.
