Lena E. "Lee" Ciarciello

Lena E. "Lee" (Ciccarelli) Ciarciello, 74, of Newington, died on Monday, (Decem- ber 24, 2001) at New Britain General Hospital. She was the beloved wife for 50 years of Mark A. Ciarciello of Newington. Born in Hartford, daughter of the late Romolo and Tina (Porzio) Ciccarelli, she was a Newington resident for the past 30 years and was a member of the Church of the Holy Spirit. Lee was formerly employed by Connecticut General Insurance Co., Hartford, for many years, and most recently retired from Fenn Manufacturing Co., Newington. A loving and devoted mother and grandmother, she leaves her five children, two sons, Paul R. Ciarciello and his wife Claire of Newington, and Mark J. Ciarciello of Branford; three daughters, Tina M. Ciarciello of Wethersfield, Carla A. Grimes of Brookfield, MA, and Marie A. DeBurro and her husband Larry of Southwick, MA; a daughter-in-law, Sandi Ciccarelli; and five granddaughters, Lindsay, Elizabeth, Jill, Kimberly and Erica. She also leaves two brothers and sisters-in-law, Frank and Nellie Ciccarelli of New Britain, and Albert and Antoinette Ciccarelli of Wethersfield; two brothers-in-law, Anthony Machulskis of West Hartford, and Thomas McKenna of New Britain; two sisters-in-law, Antoinette Petrella of Cromwell and Angela Saloman of Wethersfield; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Anna Machulskis. Her funeral service will be held Friday, 9 a.m., from the Newington Memorial Funeral Home, 20 Bonair Ave., Newington, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 10 a.m. at the Church of the Holy Spirit. Interment will be in West Meadow Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Thursday, 5-8 p.m., at Newington Memorial.
