Lola Roman

Lola (Starzec) Roman, 83, of Worthington Ridge, Berlin, the widow of Veto V. Roman, died Wednesday, (August 13, 2003) at New Britain General Hospital. Born in Berlin, the daughter of the late John and the late Eleanora (Sliva) Starzec, she graduated from Berlin High School, and was a member of St. Paul's Church. She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Thomas and Nancy Roman of Plymouth, and Daniel V. Roman of Wolcott; a sister, Clara DiPietro of Kensington; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 9 a.m. from Porter's Funeral Home, 111 Chamberlain Highway in Kensington, with a Funeral Liturgy at 10 a.m. at St. Paul's Church on Alling Street. Burial will follow in Maple Cemetery, Berlin. Friends and relatives are invited to call at the funeral home on Friday from 5-8 p.m. Directions can be found at www.portersfuneral.com.
