Lorraine H. Spulick

1938 - 2021

Lorraine H. Spulick, 82, of Higganum, beloved wife of the late Carl A. Spulick passed away on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born August 19, 1938 in Hartford, daughter of the late Walter and Celia (Kozaczuk) Kulas, she grew up and lived in Suffield most of her life. Before retiring she was employed by Hamilton Standard for many years and then worked as a home health aide. Lorraine was an avid UCONN Women's Basketball fan and NASCAR fan; she mostly enjoyed the time she spent with her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. After Lorraine and Carl retired, they moved to Zellwood, FL, then moved back to CT to Higganum. She is survived by two daughters, Sharon Sarno and her husband, Robert of Enfield, Susan Berlepsch and her husband, William of Higganum; her grandchildren, Michael, Karen, and Stacey Suleski and Melissa Kantrow and her husband, Sam, Peter Lieberman and his fiancé, Brooke; Rebecca and Billy Berlepsch; three great grandsons, Cameron, Benjamin, and David Kantrow; four sisters, Florence Lesniak of Windsor Locks, Dolores Graczewski of Southwick, MA, Patricia Humiston, of Windsor Locks, Joanne Kulas of Danielson; a brother, Robert Kulas of Suffield. She was predeceased by a sister, Mary Kozaczuk; five brothers, Anthony, Francis, Chester, Edward, and Walter Kulas. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at 10:45 AM in St. Joseph Cemetery, Poquonock Ave. (Rt. 75), Poquonock section of Windsor.
