He was also an avid New York Yankee fan, and this year he went with four generations of his family to see the Yankees play in New York. Lou contributed his enthusiasm and talents to many civic organizations and causes, including the Syracuse Executives Association, the Luna Club of West Hartford, Avon UNICO and Prince Thomas of Savoy clubs and many other community activities. Lou was also well loved by his family and many friends for his sense of humor, love of good music, Italian cooking, and enthusiastic can-do approach to life. Besides his wife Brenda, he is survived by his son, Dennis and his wife, Lorraine of Las Vegas, NV; his daughter, Lori and her husband, Bruce Bell of Land 'O Lakes, FL; his granddaughter, Elise and her husband, Michael Garbeck and their children, Jason Abate and Isabella, all of North Granby; his brother Enzo and his wife, Erica Guidobono of Newington; his brother-in-law Richard and his wife Nancy Cressotti of Enfield; step-children Charles C. Draghi of Boston, MA, Robert M. Draghi of Astoria, NY, Robyn Paseka of Ellington and Christopher Draghi of Florence, Italy and their families. He also leaves his many dear nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his wife, Delphine, and his parents Lorenzo and Ernestina Guidobono. His family will receive friends at the Ladd-Turkington & Carmon Funeral Home, 551 Talcottville Road (Rt. 83), Vernon on Wednesday, Nov. 8, from 4-8 p.m. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home on Thursday, Nov. 9, at 9 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, Rockville. Louis would always brighten up my day whenever I saw him. His positive attitude, good common sense and wonderful sense of humor will be sorrowfully missed. He was tremendously proud of his family and would do anything for them. I'm honored to have known "Mr.G" and will miss him terribly. I regret that I will be unable to attend the services but pass along my heartfelt sympathy to Lori, Dennis and the rest of the family.

Lori I'm so sorry to hear about your dad. I met him on several occassions and I absolutely loved him. He was kind, witty, and always had a smile on his face. We both know how hard it is to lose someone we love, but as you know life goes on and with memories we keep our love ones alive. If there's anything that I can do or if you need a shoulder I'll always be there for you.
With all my love Antoinette
