MUELLER, Louis "Louie" V. Louis "Louie" V. Mueller, 74, of Broad Brook, beloved husband of 49 years to Lorraine J. (Satryb) Mueller, passed away peacefully on Tuesday (December 14, 2010) at his home with his loving family at his side. Born in Rockville, son to the late Louis and Antoinette (Bonan) Mueller, he grew up and lived in Rockville for most of his life before moving to Broad Brook thirteen years ago. He was a graduate of Rockville High School, Class of 1955. Louie was a communicant of St. Joseph Church in Rockville. He was employed for 25 years at the former LaPointe Industries in Rockville and after they closed, he went to work at the Wapping Elementary School in South Windsor for fifteen years before retiring in 2004. In 1997, Louie was chosen as "Outstanding Support Employee of the Year" and the school named a day in his honor. He loved to garden, mow his lawn, watch baseball, following the Red Sox and the Yankees, and most of all, spend time with his grandchildren whom he adored. He was a kind and loving person who always had a good word to say about everyone. His greatest joy was being able to help others. In addition to his loving wife, Louie is survived by his beloved children, Peter Mueller and his wife Gail of Vernon, Paul Mueller of Broad Brook and his companion Laura Stone, and Donna Hryn and her husband Andrew of Tolland; five grandchildren, Lisa, Jennifer and Amanda Mueller, and Adam and Leah Hryn; a sister, Antoinette Babcock and her husband Westerley of Vernon, and several nieces and nephews. His family will receive friends for calling hours on Thursday (December 16, 2010) from 4-8 p.m. at the Ladd-Turkington & Carmon Funeral Home, 551 Talcottville Road (Route 83), Vernon. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home on Friday (December 17, 2010) at 9 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, 33 West Street, Rockville. I have Louie's photo on my mantle. He was an inspiration to me and one of the kindest most caring men that I have ever met. He served as a role model to me and to all who knew him. I will never forget this amazing man.

Lorraine and Family,
Although Louie will be so dearly missed, it is the blessing I have because our paths crossed at Wapping School. I have never met a more kind and caring person. In any difficult situation I will always ask myself "What would Louie do?" And I know I will be just fine!

My deepest sympathy for your family's loss. I, along with others at Wapping, were richer in our work experience for having had the honor and pleasure to work with Louie for the years that we did. I missed him dearly when he retired and was pleased with the occasional return visits as well as service he continued to give to our school. He lived a good life and trust that he is now at peace and happy in eternal rest with our Lord.

I smile each time I think of how lucky I am to have had the great pleasure of calling Louie my friend. I cry each time I think about how much he will be missed by all who loved him.

Lorraine, you and your family are in my heart and in my prayers.

With deepest sympathy on your family's loss. I had the pleasure to work with Louie for many years at Wapping, and can honestly say I have never met a kinder person. He went out of his way to help and always gave of himself. He constantly spoke of his family, whom he adored. My prayers are with you all during this difficult time.

Lorraine, Peter, Paul, Donna and family,

My deepest sympathy for the loss of Louie. Louie always had a kind word and went out of his way to ask about my family at any events that we attended. I'll hold dear in my heart the many 4th of July, Memorial Day,and Labor Day picnics that I had the pleasure of sharing his company. Of the souls I have encountered in my life, his was one of the kindest and gentlest. May he rest in peace, he will never be forgotten.

He will be greatly missed, but never forgotten. Love to you all,
