Lucille Fusco Obituary

Lucille Marie (Bourgoin) Cyr Fusco passed away peacefully on October 7, 2015 after a long struggle with Alzheimer's Disease. Lucille went to be with God and many family members, including her parents Pierre and Adeline (Theriault) Bourgoin, husbands Aldo Cyr and Daniel Fusco, 25 brothers and sisters, and countless friends. Lucille is survived by her son Alan Cyr and his wife Susan, daughter Susan Gaffney, step-son Michael Fusco and his wife Anna, brother Pius Bourgoin and his wife Yvette, four grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Lucille grew up in Grand Falls, New Brunswick, Canada, the youngest of 26 children. Before meeting Aldo and moving to the United States to begin her family, Lucille could add many talents to her resume: Grand Falls potato queen, prospective nun, brilliant cook, skilled doctor's assistant - to name a few. Lucille became a dual-citizen and established her family in Coventry, CT. Lucille's talents in her later life were just as varied; she bowled, golfed, volunteered and beat any willing opponent in cribbage. But, above anything, she enjoyed taking care of her family and friends with her love, laughter and cuisine. The light she brought to our lives and the incredible impact she made on so many is truly impossible to describe in words, but our love and gratitude will last forever. For those who wish to celebrate her life, please join us for a memorial mass at St. Mary's Church in Coventry, CT at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 7. Following the burial, friends are welcome to join the family at Lakeview Restaurant, 50 Lake ST,Coventry CT. In lieu of flowers, please honor Lucille's memory by donating to the Alzheimer's Association at http://www.alz.org/ to help find a cure.

Dear Susan, Michael and families,

Forgive this very late note. I just learned of Lucille's passing when
I realized today was her birthday and I thought I'd go online to see if I could locate her.
We often think of Lucille and Dan and what wonderful neighbors they were to us here in New Hampshire. So many wonderful times with them. (Most involving food, of course). Shopping trips with Lucille were quite fun too. Once we got to our destination, we had to fuel up with coffee and a pastry then start our shopping. Then there was lunch, more shopping, a wine break, more shopping and a stop for dessert before heading home!
We send all of you our belated condolences and love.
