Luz Marin Obituary



Luz Maria Marin, 43, of New Britain, died Saturday morning at The Hospital of Central Connecticut, New Britain. Born in Puerto Rico, daughter of Hector and Luz (Ruiz) Marin, she was employed at The Hospital of Central Connecticut, New Britain. In addition to her parents, she is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Carmen and Mark DePinto of New Britain, two sons, Hector Morales of New Britain, and Alex Morales and his companion Kaylee Pratts with whom she made her home, a daughter, Ashley Amaro of New Britain, two grandchildren, Jayden and Marieliz Morales, and two nieces, Cristal Vazquez and Christine Amaro. Her family would like to thank Dr. Peter Byeff and the staff of C5 at THCC-NB for their care and compassion during Luz's illness. Friends and relatives are invited to call at Porter's Funeral Home, 111 Chamberlain Highway, Berlin, on Thursday from 5-7pm. Services and committal will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Make-A-Wish Foundation, 126 Monroe Turnpike, Trumbull, CT 06611. Directions to the funeral home can be found at www.portersfuneral.com
