Affectionately known as "Dootsie" 78, of Manchester CT Sunrise August 16, 1942 Sunset March 11, 2021, passed away at Hartford Hospital. Mabel was born in Georgetown, SC where she attended Howard High School. Mabel worked as a CNA in New York, and was also a certified daycare provider. In her hometown of Georgetown is where she met her soul-mate, Henry Lee Thompson. They became a union and were married for 58 incredible years. She is survived by four children Karen (Andrew) Williams , Terrence (Dawn),Tommy and Janice Thompson. She is also survived by 7 siblings , and her beloved sister-in-law. She is also survived by 17 Grandchildren and 20 Great Grandchildren, a host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, other relatives and friends. She is predeceased by parents Joe and Serena Nelson, a loving husband of 58 years Henry Lee "Peanut" Thompson, daughter Sharon Thompson, as well as 3 Brothers and 2 sisters. My mom was the most giving and kind hearted person, she was neutral. She had such a bubbly personality, she judged no one.She carried her heart on her sleeve.I'm going to miss my ladybug. Grandma,
