LOMBARDI, Madeline Madeline Lombardi, 88, formerly of 85 William St., Springfield, MA, died Thursday, (January 27, 2005) in Springfield. She was born June 21, 1916 in Bristol, and has lived in Springfield for more than 30 years. Madeline was an exceptional woman who taught herself to sew and knit after she lost her sight. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church and also made yearly pilgrimages to St. Ann de Beaupres. Madeline leaves her brother, C. Charles Lombardi, formerly of West Hartford; and her sister, Nancy Peluso, of West Hartford; two nieces, Margot O'Neill of Pleasant Valley, and Karen Boyle of Palm City, FL; four grand nephews and a grand niece. Relatives and friends are invited to a Memorial Mass on Monday, February 28 at 11 a.m. in St. Peter Claver Church, 47 Pleasant St., W. Hartford. A committal service will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Tazzini Funeral Home of Springfield is handling the arrangements.
