Marcia Smith

Marcia Blank Smith of Southbury, CT and Sarasota, FL passed away Sunday, October 3, 2021 at the age of 90 in Sarasota Florida surrounded by her family. She was born in Bridgeport, CT, the daughter of the late Pauline and George Blank and the wife of the late Jess H. Smith. Prior to living in Sarasota, she lived in Litchfield with her family for 43 years. She was graduated from Bassick High School in Bridgeport, CT, she graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Pennsylvania, and then went on to graduate in the fourth class of women at Harvard Law School. Marcia began her career at the CT State Capitol as a Legislative Legal Advisor for the state General Assembly, and then spent the last 20+ years of her career as an Assistant State's Attorney for the State of CT Division of Criminal Justice. She is survived by her devoted daughters, Melissa Smith Juneau, Claudia Elizabeth Smith, and Alison Smith Roemer and her 8 beloved grandchildren.
