DONAHUE, Margaret
Margaret (Fahey) Donahue, of Enfield entered into eternal life peacefully in her sleep at the age of 100+ on Monday (Dec. 5, 2011) with her loving daughter at her side at the Suffield House. Margaret was the beloved wife of the late George J. Donahue and daughter of the late Patrick and Edna (Dickson) Fahey. She was born in the Thompsonville section of Enfield on March 3, 1911 and was a lifelong resident. She worked at Bigelow Sanford then was a homemaker, great cook and painter, having shared her love of watercolors, painting classes and flowers with her best friend, caregiver and daughter, Marybeth Margaret was the loving mother to Dr. George M. Donahue and Marybeth Donahue; beloved grandmother to Melissa M. Donahue, Theresa Ames and husband Mike, Sean M. Donahue and Brendan Donahue; great grandmother to Kaiden M. Ames. Margaret admired the love and affection from Marie Donahue and Jane Campbell. She also leaves behind her two loving sisters Edna (Fahey) Broderick of Windsor and Marion (Fahey) Cunningham of Enfield along with many nieces and nephews. Her family would like to thank Dr. M. Chowdhury and his staff and the staff of the Suffield House for the wonderful, compassionate and loving care given to Margaret.
Relatives and friends may gather with her family during calling hours on Thursday (Dec. 8, 2011) from 3 to 7 p.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield. Funeral Services will be held on Friday (Dec. 9, 2011) with the funeral procession forming at 9 a.m. to St. Patrick's Church for a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will take place in St. Patrick's King St. Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in her memory may be made to the Office of Catholic Radio & Television, WJMJ_FM 15 Peach Orchard Rd. Prospect, CT 06712.
