Margaret Morrissey Obituary

MORRISSEY, Margaret T. Margaret T. Morrissey, 92, of Rocky Hill, beloved wife of the late William T. Morrissey, entered eternal peace Saturday, (May 26, 2007) at Elm Hill Nursing Center Rocky Hill. Margaret was born in Hartford, daughter to the late Peter and Jennie (O'Rourke) Tracy. Prior to her retirement, she was employed by Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center as an accountant. She was a communicant of Corpus Christi Church Wethersfield and a member of the Elm Tree Women's Club. Margaret will be remembered by her family; three sons, Peter J. Morrissey and his wife Patricia J. of East Hampton, Michael T. Morrissey and his wife Cheryl K. of Wethersfield, and Brian W. Morrissey of Newington; a daughter, Patricia E. Morrissey of Glastonbury; two brothers, George Tracy of West Hartford, and William Tracy and his wife Donna of Oklahoma; a sister, Mary Scelza and her husband Frank of East Hartford; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sister Teresa Winter. Funeral services will be held Thursday May 31, 2007 at 10:15 a.m. from the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Road Wethersfield, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in Corpus Christi Church, 601 Silas Deane Highway, Wethersfield. Interment will follow in the family plot in Mount St. Benedict Cemetery, 1 Cottage Grove Road, Bloomfield. Margaret's family will receive relatives and friends in the Funeral Home Wednesday May 30th from 5-8 p.m. The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Margaret's name to the Alzheimers Association Connecticut Chapter, 279 New Britain Road, Suite 5, Kensington, CT 06037.
