Maria La Rosa

Maria (Amenta) La Rosa 90 formerly of George St. Hartford beloved wife of the late Sebastiano La Rosa died peacefully Wednesday March 28 2018. She was born January 23 1928 in Canicattini Bagni Italy and was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Francesca (Cianci) Amenta. She dedicated her life to being a loving wife mother Nonna and Nonnina. She enjoyed cooking baking singing and was happiest when surrounded by her family. She will be sadly missed by her loving and devoted children and grandchildren. She is survived by her children Salvatore La Rosa and wife Maria of Wethersfield Franca Amenta and husband Emanuele of Rocky Hill and Elena Kerr and husband William of Wethersfield six grandchildren Maria Grazia Patulak and husband Ryan Salvatore Amenta Daniela Maria Karanda and husband Michael Sebastiano La Rosa Alessandro Amenta and Antonio La Rosa and a special great granddaughter Gianna Patulak. She also leaves behind her brother Emanuele Amenta and wife Lia and sister-in-law's Grazia (Raiti) Amenta and Grazia (Micieli) Amenta along with a large extended family in Italy. She was predeceased by nine brothers and sisters. She was a member of the Daughters of Canicattini Bagni Society for many years. Funeral service will be Tuesday April 3rd at 9:00 a.m. at D'Esopo Funeral Chapel 277 Folly Brook Boulevard Wethersfield followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at Church of Incarnation 544 Prospect St. Wethersfield. Burial will be at Rose Hill Memorial Park Rocky Hill. Calling hours are Monday April 2nd from 5-8 p.m. at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel.
