Marion Esposito Obituary

ESPOSITO, Marion C. Marion C. Esposito, 77, of Drozdyk Dr., Groton, died Tuesday, (September 14, 2004) in New London. She was born Dec. 20, 1926 in Verona, NJ, the daughter of the late Carl W. and Ruth Handville Coeper, Sr. She married Anthony P. Esposito on March 26, 1966 in Elkton, MD. Mr. Esposito died May 14, 1987. Mrs. Esposito formerly worked as a clerk for Burlington Coat Factory in New London and was a volunteer Grandmother for TVCCA in Groton. She is survived by two sons and their spouses, Charles B. and Cheryl Smith of Tolland, Gary W. and Karen Smith of Augusta, NJ; a daughter and her husband, Toni L. and Stephen Johnson of Uncasville; a sister, Ruth B. Hayes of Groton; six grandchildren, Nicole, Karl, Dillon, Christianna, Thomas and Ethan; a nephew, John Coerper and two nieces, Judith Romash and Susan Coerper. She was predeceased by six siblings, Carl W. Coerper, Jr., Louise Hardy, Elsie Coerper, John Coerper, Alvah Coerper and Russell Coerper. Her family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday from 2-4 p.m. at the Impellitteri-Malia Funeral Home, 84 Montauk Ave., New London. A graveside service will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. in the Cypress Cemetery in Westbrook. In lieu of flowers, donation in her memory to Hospice of Southeastern CT, P.O. Box 903, Uncasville, CT 06382 or American Cancer Society, 238 West Town St., Norwich, CT 06320.
