Marjorie Peaslee Obituary

Marjorie Agnes (Swartwout) Peaslee, 80, of Windsor, CT passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 25, 2023. She was born in Hartford, CT on June 7, 1942, daughter to the late Roeloff J. Swartwout and Helen (Caesar) Swartwout.

Marjorie was a graduate of Windsor High School in 1960 and was a member of the National Honor Society. She had a long career with the State of Connecticut as an administrative assistant before her retirement in 1997. Marjorie has been a Windsor resident for most of her life and was a longtime communicant of St. Gabriel Church in Windsor.

She is survived by her son, Ronald D. Peaslee, Jr. of New York City, NY; her daughter, Judith M. Green and her husband Robert of West Suffield, CT; her brother, Roeloff J. Swartwout, Jr. of Quemado, NM; her sister, Helen V. Swartwout of Hartford, CT; and her two nieces, Courtney Swartwout of Quemado, NM and Adrienne Swartwout-Morgan.

Family and friends may gather on Saturday, February 4, 2023, from 10-11:30 a.m. at the Carmon Poquonock Funeral Home, 1816 Poquonock Ave. (Rte 75) Windsor. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 p.m. at St. Damien of Molokai Parish – St. Gabriel Church, 379 Broad St., Windsor. Burial will be held at a later date in Palisado Cemetery, Windsor. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
