Mark Christensen Obituary

Mark E. Christensen, 64, husband of Mary D. (Duntz) Christensen, died Wednesday, April 28th, 2021 in the comfort of his Avon home with his wife, family members, and his canine companion Oscar by his side. Born September 24, 1956, in Hartford, CT to his parents George E. Christensen and Dorthy B. (LaBonte) Christensen. Besides his wife, he is survived by his brother George E. Christensen II, and his wife Anna. He leaves behind his four children, Moriah J. (Christensen) Dowcett and her husband Colin Dowcett, Elias E. Christensen and his wife Megan K. Christensen, Ethan D. Christensen and his wife Aria K. Christensen, and Philia O. (Christensen) Davis and her husband Brent M. Davis. Also, his grandchildren Hazel, Ruben, Taryn, Octavia, Sawyer, and soon the arrival of Baby Cian. Mark graduated from Avon High School in 1974. He was a postal clerk for the United States Postal Service in the Unionville/Burlington CT offices. Throughout his 27 year long career, you would otherwise find him tinkering in his garage and fixing cars. As one of Jehovah's Witnesses, he was often known for his hard work helping at convention and assembly gatherings assisting wherever he could. You could always count on Mark for a silly face and his laugh will certainly be remembered. A private service for family and friends will be held at a later date. We wish to thank our God Jehovah and his son Jesus for the hope to see Mark again here on earth in paradise. JW.org. Also, Ahern Funeral Home for their guidance, care, and handling of the arrangements.

I was very sorry to hear of Marks death. I enjoyed his quirky sense of humor and his laugh always made me smile. He was a very hard worker and talked fondly of his children. May he rest in peace.
