Mark R. Goodman

Mark Goodman, 66, of Lake Worth, Florida and formerly of Bloomfield, CT passed away unexpectedly at home on December 28, 2020. Mark was the son of the late Lillian and Raymond Goodman. He leaves sister and brother Eileen Barker and Arny Goodman, nephew Andrew, cousins Michael Nathan and Nancy Adelson and Aunt Fay Nathan. Mark was born in Hartford, CT and grew up in Bloomfield, attending Bloomfield public schools and graduating from Bloomfield High in 1972. Mark played the clarinet for many years in the school bands. He worked for many years in sporting goods management at the old Zayres and Caldors. Later Mark successfully completed the one year program in computer electronics at the Porter & Chester Institute and accepted a position at IBM. In his early years Mark was always up for a rip-roaring good time with Arny and Michael, whether it was cellar baseball, underwear football, whole-house indoor miniature golf, backyard football or baseball down at Laurel School. Mark was an avid and good golfer, always on the course with life long friends Steve Cooke and Mark Wolfberg, who will miss him greatly. Also missing Mark are long time friends David Cantor and Edna Ortiz. Mark was a great source of comfort to our mother in her years at the nursing home, and was very close to Eileen when they moved to Florida.
