Mark A. Otis

1961 - 2021

BURLINGTON, NC- Mr. Mark Anthony Otis, age 59, of the Twin Lakes Community of Burlington, NC, passed away surrounded by his loved ones on Monday, October 25, 2021 at his residence after a several months long battle with cancer. Born in Hartford, CT, he was the son of the late Marcel Otis and the late Sandra LaCroix Otis and is survived by his wife of 35 years, Marcia Ann Maynes Otis. He was "the Love of Her Life". He was previously employed for over 20 years with Aetna Insurance before his current employment of 10 years as a Lead Underwriter with Prudential Insurance. He was a member of First Congregation Church in East Hartford, CT and attended Apple's Chapel Christian Church in Gibsonville. He was a passionate cook and loved to provide meals for his family and friends. He also enjoyed reading, gardening and other outdoor activities. He was loved by everyone who knew him. Mark is survived by his wife, Marci; step son, Jesse Richards and his wife, Amanda Stupi; a granddaughter, Grace Richards; his sister; Cheryl Renkl; sister- in-law, Neila Tullar and husband, William; cousins, Chris and Terry Tullar; and a host of friends. A memorial service will take place at First Congregational Church in East Hartford, CT at a later date and will be posted on the funeral home website when arrangements are complete.
