To the Barnes Family, we are very sorry for your loss. Your parents were dear friends of our parents (Jack and Barbara) from many years ago. Your Dad and ours grew up together through High School and College. Although they didn't see each other frequently, they stayed in touch. Your Dad was especially helpful during my Dad's illness and death. I would like to think of all four of them together in Heaven, maybe sharing a cocktail and looking down fondly at their strong families. God Bless your Mother.
Sincerely,
Susan Carmody Marcey on behalf of the Carmody Family

On behalf of Principal/Chief Administrator Margaret Williamson and the entire Northwest Catholic High School community, I offer my deepest condolences on the passing of Mrs. Barnes. Because two of her children --Elizabeth Barnes Ray '80 and Michael Barnes '85 -- are cherished members of our school family, we feel she was, too, and we mourn her passing along with all of you. Please know that we will keep the entire Barnes family very specially in schoolwide prayers in the difficult days and weeks to come. We are very sorry for your loss.

Elizabeth & Family,
I am so sorry to hear of your mom/nana's passing. She was a kind and gentle woman with a subtle sense of humor. It was always a pleasant surprise to see her and I feel lucky to have known her. All of "the card players" will miss her and her cute little accent!

To The Entire Barnes Family,
The world has lost a wonderful woman named Martha Barnes. I met your Mom/Grandmother 5 years ago in St. Francis Hospital where your Dad and my Dad were roommates for the last 8 days of my Dad's life. Your Mom was such a gracious woman and we all connected with her and your family members that visited. It never ceases to amaze me how God works - He sends us special people into our lives at times when we need them the most - you must feel comfort that your parents are together again and that you now have 2 special Angels in Heaven watching over all of you. May your many beautiful memories of your Mom and God's love surround you all in the days ahead.
With sincere sympathy,
Bette Conlon (daughter of Jack & Kay Funke)

Ellen, Kate, Billy, Betty and Mike,
I'm so sorry to hear of your mom's passing. She had such a positive impact on the lives of so many of your friends so know that her legacy lives on even outside your family. She had so much life and fun with your dad and now they are dancing together again. Praise God for that. I pray that all the great memories will bring a joy that surpasses your grief as you celebrate a life well lived.
Sending love to all of you,
