Martha Toscano Obituary

TOSCANO, Martha P. Martha Pauline Toscano, 78, of Cromwell, passed away on Thursday, (April 23, 2009) at Ridgeview Healthcare Center in Cromwell. Born in Union City, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Joseph J. and Emma (Albert) Lusa. Martha lived in Cromwell moving from Paramus, NJ 38 years ago. She was a member of the Cromwell Senior Center and a volunteer for the Society for the Blind. Martha is survived by two sons, Rocco Toscano and his wife, Mercedes of Hopatcong, NJ and Raymund P. Toscano and his wife, Nora of Tuscon, AZ; a daughter, Donna Toscano of New Britain; a brother, Walter Lusa of Ridgefield, NJ; five grandchildren, Danielle Toscano, Christina Carta, Melissa Pernos, Dina Toscano, Tara Toscano; a step-grandchild, Spc. Pedro Urbano, US Army; a cousin, Maria of New York; two nieces, Dolores and MaryAnn of Ridgefield, NJ; and many great grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her son, James J. Toscano. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 25, at 11 a.m. at the Cromwell Funeral Home, 506 Main Street, Cromwell and interment will be held at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, friends may make donations in Martha's memory to the American Cancer Society, P. O. Box 1004, Meriden, CT 06450.
