After a lifetime of love and caring for others, Mary (Pifferi) Bianca, 82, of Newington, entered into eternal peace on Monday, (January 5, 2004). She was the beloved wife and best friend of the late Thomas P. Bianca. Born and raised in New Britain, Mrs. Bianca was a resident of Newington since 1959. She was a member of Church of the Holy Spirit, Newington and retired from the Newington School System and was employed at Elm Hill School. A loving and devoted mother and grandmother, she leaves her son, Thomas P. Bianca and his wife, Vivian, of Unionville; her daughter, Deborah Carlson, of Farmington; her four cherished grandchildren, Jesse and Christopher Bianca, Stephanie and Aaron Carlson; her two brothers, Ben Pifferi and his wife, Ceil, of Southington, Peter Pifferi and his wife, Margaret, of Bristol; many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. She was pre-deceased by her sister, Anna Warzocha. Her funeral services will be held Saturday, 11 a.m. from the Newington Memorial Funeral Home, 20 Bonair Ave., Newington, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 11:30 a.m. at St. Paul's Church. Interment will be in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain. Relatives and friends are invited to call Saturday morning from 10-11 a.m. at Newington Memorial.
