DEBIASIO, Mary C. (Amato)
Mary C. (Amato) DeBiasio, 56, of Middletown, went to be with Jesus after a long and courageous battle with cancer, on August 18, 2013. She was born on May 30, 1957 in New Britain, and was the daughter of the late Michele and Jennie ( Stranno ) Amato. She was an award-winning hair stylist, Sunday school teacher, and advocate for the mentally ill. She volunteered for over 20 years with young unwed mothers at a local women's center. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. Mary will be deeply missed by her husband Guglielmo; her son Joseph and his wife Dev, and her son Michael all of Middletown; her sister and brother-in-law Joanne and Philip Kosinski of New Britain, her brother Joseph Amato of East Hartford, her sister-in-law and husband Ada and John Urgo of Middletown; her nieces and nephews Jennie, Natascia, Jordan, Johnathan, Michael; and many beloved family and friends.
The funeral will be held on Thursday at 9 a.m. from the Coughlin - Lastrina Funeral Home, 491 High St., Middletown followed by a church service at 10 a.m. in Victory Christian Church, 191 Meriden Rd., Middlefield. Burial will be in Indian Hill Cemetery, Middletown.
