STICK , Mary Ann (Lyman)
Mary Ann (Lyman) Stick, 91, of Windsor Locks loving wife of the late Stanley J. Stick, Sr. Entered into Eternal Rest on Saturday (May 12, 2012). Mary was born April 27, 1921, in Hartford, the daughter of the late Andrew and Gertrude Lyman. Mary was a lifelong resident of Windsor Locks and was a faithful parishioner of St. Mary Church. She enjoyed cooking for her family, crocheting, gardening and always loved a visit to her home from family and friends. Mary is survived by her three children, Mary Ann Liss and her husband, Henry, Stanley J. Stick, Jr. and his wife, Catherine and John Stick and his wife, Kathlene all of Windsor Locks; a brother, Andrew Lyman and his wife, Helen of Somers. Mary is also survived by her grandchildren, Mary Ann Trimble and her husband, Brian, Kathleen Doody and her husband, Mark, Julie Hugo and her husband, Mark, Erin Stick and Timothy Stick; her great grandchildren, Robert, Jennifer, Karen, Michael, David and Hannah; a sister-in-law, Edna Czyzniak and several nieces and nephews all of Windsor Locks. Mary was predeceased by three sisters, Marcy Kobos, Vera Howard and Anna Grabowski.
Relatives and friends can join the family on Tuesday, May 15, 2012, from 5-8 p.m. at the Windsor Locks Funeral Home, 441 Spring St., Windsor Locks. A funeral procession will gather on Wednesday, May 16, 2012, at 9 a.m. at the funeral home for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery. Memorial donations in memory of Mary may be made to St. Mary Church, 42 Spring St., Windsor Locks, CT 06096 or to the CT Humane Society, 701 Russell Rd., Newington, CT 06111. I want to send my prayers and loving thoughts to you and your loved ones during this sad time. Your mother certainly touched and brightened up my family get-togethers. I will remember her wonderful smile, her great sense of humor, and those fantastic recipes she shared.
