My sincere condolences to all of Matt's family. This was much too soon...

I've known Matt on and off again for over 20 years or so. Worked with him at A1 Glass and Commercial Storefront. I'm so sorry for this tragedy. No matter how rough my day was going, he always walked in from the field with a smile. And he always found a way to lighten everything up with a quick smile, joke, and a hello. He was just a great person to be around. Matt will be sorely missed. Agasin, I'm so sorry for your loss.

Sincerely,
Mark Wujek

Bob, Nancy and family~I don't know how to express what I am feeling after hearing this terrible news. Matt was much too young to lose. I am so glad I ran into him a few months back. We talked a while and had such a nice conversation. He was always such a great kid, so down to earth with a personality and smile that was infectious. He will be missed by all who were lucky enough to have known him. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. With deepest sympathy.

Matthew, I remember like it was yesterday how your favorite movie at the age of 4 was The Never Ending story. You watched that over and over when we babysat for you one entire week. Your memory is just that, a never ending story. I will always keep you close in my heart, deep in my thoughts and often in my prayers. I love you Matt. Christmas Eve was never quite the same when you stopped coming. You were always the joy of those gatherings. We will all miss you so much. Love Aunt Liz

I can't begin to tell you how sorry I am. Matt was one of the most charming and loving people I've ever known. He was such a talented and passionate person on so many levels. I will never forget all of our amazing time together. I feel lucky to have had so many. Teri's wedding weekend in Nola with Matt, Nancy, Devon, Terri and all of your friends was honestly one of the most intimate experiences of my life. I couldn't feel more blessed to have shared that with him and with all of you.The world will never be the same. I love you Matthew Lanza xoxo

With a heavy heart, I am writing this to honor Matt. He grew up in our neighborhood, played with my daughters, ate lunch at our house many times. He was always so sweet and friendly. I still picture him as this little boy. Several summers ago he was working an outside job at the elementary school where I worked and recognized me when he came in. I had not seen him since he was in school so at first I did not recognize him back, but his smile and blue eyes shined through. We hugged and shared some past stories and had a few laughs. It was so nice to see him and have that last memory. Rest in peace, Matt.
