Maude Emhoff Obituary

EMHOFF, Maude Maude Emhoff, 84, of Stafford Springs, beloved wife of the late John L. Emhoff, passed away on Saturday, (March 21, 2009) at Hartford Hospital, Hartford. She was born in Brooklyn, NY, daughter of the late Otto and Adele (Hermes) Meyer. Maude retired as a manager from Northeast Savings after 21 years of employment. She was also a member of St. Edward Parish, the Stafford Grange No. 1 where she was a secretary for many years, and former tax assessor for the Town of Stafford for 16 years. Maude is survived by her four children, John C. Emhoff and his wife Sandra of Stafford Springs, Timothy A. Emhoff and his wife Isha of Ashland, MA, Eric Emhoff and his wife Barbara of Union, and Karen Dodd and her husband Angelo Ortisi, Jr. of Mansfield; nine grandchildren, John A. Emhoff and his wife Theresa, Jeanne Emhoff, John L. Emhoff, Jr., Charles Emhoff, Analise Emhoff, Sarah Emhoff, Allison Decker and her husband Virgil, Hannah Dodd, and PFC Jesse Dodd; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Martha Lytwyn. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, March 26th at 11 a.m. at St. Edward Church, High St., Stafford Springs. Burial will follow in St. Edward Cemetery, Stafford Springs. Memorial donations may be made to the St. Edward School Memorial Fund, 6 Benton St., Stafford Springs, CT 06076. I am so sorry to hear of the loss of this wonderful lady. Maude spent a great deal of time in my shop last year while she was making scrapbooks as gifts for her children. She was so enthusiast about the project and their reaction to her gift gave her great joy. My condolences to her family.
