Maxine Metcalf Obituary
Maxine (Schiessl) Metcalf 68 of Bolton, beloved wife of Richard Metcalf (married since 1969) died Thursday May 19, at Hartford Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Born October 16,1948 in Hartford. She was the daughter of George and Iris Schiessl of West Hartford. Maxine was a graduate of Conard High School. She worked for Stop and Shop in East Hartford before retiring after 25 years of service. Maxine enjoyed spending time with her grandsons and cooking. She was predeceased by her daughter Susan Metcalf DeAngelis and brother Jackie Schiessl. Besides her husband Richard she is survived by her loving grandsons Ryan and Luke DeAngelis and son-in-law Stephen DeAngelis of East Hampton, sister Fredricka of Florida, several nieces and nephews and extended family. Maxines family would like to thank the staff of Hartford Hospital for their compassionate care they gave Maxine during her illness. There will be no calling hours and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Autism Speaks, 1060 State Rd, 2nd floor, Princeton NJ 08540.
