Michael Michaud Obituary

Michael W. Michaud, 33 of South Windsor, Ct. passed away on April 8, 2015. Michael began his life in Hartford, Connecticut and as a child would spend his summers camping with his family. At a young age Michael began taking apart anything he could find in order to learn how to put it back together and this talent followed him into adulthood. Michael moved to South Windsor with his family in 1993 and spent time there going to school and making friends. Michael received his HVAC degree from Lincoln Tech and spent the past few years working within this field. In 2010 Michael became a proud father to his son Anthony W. Michaud, who was his world; as a father Michael demonstrated kindness, patience and the drive to teach his son everything from ways in which to make the best chocolate milk, how to put together the perfect tuna fish sandwich, how to assemble legos, the importance of ketchup and which Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle was the best; Michael did all that while also demonstrating the best ways to treat others with love and kindness. Michael loved his family with all of his heart and would have done anything for anyone that he considered to be family. Michael was an amazing man with many talents and will always be remembered by his smile, jokes, sense of humor, Yankee hats, Yankee jacket and of course the cleanest Nikes. He leaves behind his loving parents William and Margaret Michaud of South Windsor Ct, life partner Kate Nelson and their beloved son Anthony Michaud of Vernon, Ct, his sister and best friend Melanie Michaud and her life partner Yvette Law of Hartford, Ct, his sister Theresa Michaud and her fiancé Allan Jubrey of Windsor Locks Ct, his sister Jeannine Plumley and her husband Rod Plumley of Florida and his brother William Michaud Jr and his wife Heather Michaud of South Windsor Ct. Michael is also survived by many relatives including his nieces who have always had a special place in his heart as well as many dear friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11AM on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at St. Margaret Mary Church, 80 Hayes Rd., South Windsor. Interment will be private. The Cremation Society of CT (www.cremationct.com), Windsor has been entrusted with arrangements. In lieu of flowers donations can be made by going to http://www.gofundme.com/r9784w.

Mike was a very kind, patient & loving father. Last summer my daughter spent time at his house & I remember how he took the time to get down to her level & really make her feel special which I will always remember him by.
Only time will mend the broken hearts, rest assured God called Mike home for a higher purpose.
Deepest condolences to the Michaud Family
