Michael M. Petrizzo

Michael Mario Petrizzo, dearly loved husband, dad, grandpa, brother and friend, passed away to heaven on Saturday, January 22, 2022, in Falmouth, MA. Michael is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Monica; his daughter Leah and son-in-law Joseph Sutherland; his daughters Jeanne Petrizzo and Natalie Petrizzo; his son James Petrizzo; and his three precious grandchildren, Evangeline, Desmond, and Jaina Sutherland. He leaves absolutely no doubt about how much he loved and was proud of his family. The son of the late James and Marie Petrizzo, he was born on September 1, 1953, and grew up in Hartford and Bloomfield, CT. He graduated from Bloomfield High School, after which he attended American International College in Springfield, MA to study business. Born with an independent, entrepreneurial spirit, there wasn't much of a chance Michael would go the traditional corporate employment route. Instead, he started Siding & Windows of CT, Inc., a business he successfully owned and operated for over 30 years. Michael and his wife discovered Falmouth in the 80s and spent the next three decades splitting their time between the Cape and their home in South Windsor, CT. Eventually, the magic of Falmouth became too much to resist, and they moved full-time to their home in Falmouth Heights in 2012, when Michael established his second entrepreneurial venture, Michael Petrizzo Photography & Fine Art Productions. Michael turned his passion for the ocean, for sunsets, and for all of God's creation into stunning fine art photography for which he won many awards, and that many people now display in their homes and offices nationally and internationally. He really enjoyed being involved in the local arts community and found a way to support his many artist friends with his expert giclée printing services. He absolutely loved Cape Cod, which motivated him to safeguard its beauty and the many memories formed here through stunning imagery. More than anything, Michael would want everyone to know that Jesus changed his life in his early 20s. For the rest of his life, he committed himself to the Lord by making the church central to his family's life (Truth Baptist Church in South Windsor, CT, for over 30 years, and then, more recently, CapeFaith Church in Osterville, MA); serving as a Sunday School teacher, deacon and usher; and sharing the good news of God's gift of salvation with his family, friends and so many others. In addition to his wife, children and grandchildren, Michael leaves behind his brother Mark, sister-in-law Donna and niece Mollie; his sister Donna; many loving cousins and a host of dear friends. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, January 27th from 4PM - 7PM at Chapman Funerals & Cremations, 475 Main Street, Falmouth, MA. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 28th at 11AM at Cape Faith Church, 251 Osterville West Barnstable Rd, Osterville, MA.
