Michael B. Walling

Michael Benjamin Walling, 19, of Rocky Hill, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Wednesday, November 9, 2022. He was born on December 4, 2002 in Hartford to Mark and Kristina (Lopez) Walling. After spending his first two years at East Catholic High School, Michael graduated from Rocky Hill High School in 2021. In his younger years he was a naturally gifted athlete in baseball, basketball and football, but particularly excelled in golf, winning a State Championship with East Catholic High School and was All-State as a sophomore, before COVID ended his high school career. Following his graduation from high school, Michael developed a passion for music which he started writing himself and producing in New York City. His work can be found on all streaming platforms under YDS. Michael was a determined young man and found that if there was something he wanted in life, he went out and pursued it and gave it all of his effort. His passions were the finer things in life. Michael went on to develop his culinary skills as well, surprising people with his latest creations. He will always be remembered for his pure heart and kindness as well as his ability to make people laugh, feel good, and smile. Michael's family would like to send a special thank you to ALL the people that helped take care of him at Connecticut Children's Medical Center, Boston Children's Hospital and Texas Children's Hospital. Michael will be lovingly remembered by his parents, Mark and Kristina Walling, his brother, Jake Walling, his maternal grandmother, Kathy Lopez, uncle Michael Lopez, aunt, Laura Walling, uncle, Joseph Walling and his wife Victoria, his extended family, cousins and many close friends. Michael is predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Joseph and Loretta Walling and his maternal grandfather, Fred Lopez. Friends and relatives may pay their respects to the Walling Family on Sunday, November 20, 2022 from 3:00PM to 6:00PM at the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Road, Wethersfield, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Michael's life will be held on Monday, November 21, 2022 at 11:00AM in Saint Thomas the Apostle Church 872 Farmington Avenue, West Hartford, CT 06119. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Park, 580 Elm Street, Rocky Hill. In lieu of flowers, the Walling family asks that memorial donations be made to Alex's Lemonade, 333 E.
