Mildred Regalis Obituary

Mildred "Millie" Kathryn Regalis, 91, of Hartford, passed away from this life on November 27, 2023. Born in New Britain, she was the daughter of the late John and Julia Ragalis. She earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Hartford and a Master of Science from Central CT State University.

Millie, a woman of many talents and accomplishments, graced the world with her beautiful operatic voice. Her performances at weddings and special occasions were always a delight to the attendees. Her professional journey led her to work in the Control Group at Pratt & Whitney, and she also contributed to a federally funded adult business skills program. After dedicating 30 years of her life to UConn Law School, she decided to retire. Millie's faith was an integral part of her life. She was a lifelong St. Andrew Church member until its closure two years ago. Her devotion extended to her active participation in the New Britain Council of Catholic Women and the New Britain Women's Club.

Millie is survived by her brother, John Ragalis of Clearwater Beach, FL; her sister, Barbara Regalis of New Britain; her nephews, Edward Ragalis and his wife Lori of New Britain; John Ragalis and his wife Amy of Clearwater Beach, FL; niece Dr. Kathryn Ragalis Davis and her husband Gregory of Boston; grandniece Kaitlin Hasson and her husband Jacob and their children, Kennedy and Brooks of Wethersfield, and grandnephew, Ryan Ragalis of New Britain.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at 10:30 AM at St. Joseph Church, South Main Street, New Britain. A burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain.
