Miriam KLAR

KLAR, Miriam (Mackover) Miriam (Mackover) Klar, 85 years of age, of Johnsonville Rd., Moodus, died Wednesday, (November 24, 2010). Born in New York, NY she was the daughter of the late Morris and Rose (Schwartz) Mackover. She received an Associate Degree from Middlesex Community College, Middletown, and was an active participate in the running of the Klar Crest Resort in Moodus. She was a member and a past president of Congregation Rodfe Zedek, Moodus. She was the loving wife of David Klar, and beloved mother of her son: Gary Klar and his wife Marjorie of Easton; and two daughters: Iris Klar of Moodus, and Amy Gallagher and her husband Jerry of Evergreen, CO; and cherished grandmother to Tyson, Sarah, Rebecca and Leigh. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, (November 28, 2010) at 1 p.m. in the Sanctuary of Congregation Beth Shalom Rodfe Zedek, 55 East Kings Highway, Chester, with Rabbi Rachel Goldenberg officiating. Interment will follow in the Congregation Rodfe Zedek Cemetery, Moodus. A memorial period will be observed at her home through Monday evening. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Congregation Beth Shalom Rodfe Zedek. Arrangements are entrusted to Weinstein Mortuary, Hartford.
