MARKOWITZ, Nathaniel A. Nathaniel A. Markowitz, 87, of Merchantville, NJ and Royal Palm Beach FL, died peacefully at home on Monday (October 23, 2006). Beloved husband for 64 years of Helen (nee Kastleman) Markowitz; father of Michael Markowitz of Farmington and David (Elizabeth) Markowitz of Merchantville, NJ; brother of Gloria Maurer of Oceanside, NY; grandfather of Jill (Raphael) Cohen, Jeffrey, Benjamin, and Samuel Markowitz. Nat was a pharmacist in New York and Connecticut for 67 years. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in North Africa and Italy. His legacy is the warmth of his heart, his love for family and friends and his devotion to peace. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery in Hastings-on-Hudson, NY. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Samaritan Hospice in Marlton, NJ, The National Yiddish Book Center in Amherst,MA., or the charity of your choice.
