Partho Chakraborty Obituary
Partho "Tapon" Chakraborty, 62, of New Britain, husband of Bharati "Bobbie" (Shah) Chakraborty, went to be with the Lord on Saturday (April 30, 2016) at the Hospital of Central CT. Born in Calcutta, India, he spent most of his life working for Baptist Mid Mission, Assam, India He had a privilege of working with Missionary Rev James Garlow and Rev Waldock of USA. He came to the United States in 1995 to pursue his studies in Bachelor of Divinity. After his graduation He served with many churches helping them with church planting and evangelical works. As he also was an accomplished accountant he helped many Christian organizations with Accounting. Finally settling down in New Britain in 2004. He was Finance Manager at Emmanuel Baptist Church and Emmanuel Baptist Seminary for 14 years, retiring in 2012. He was a member of the Bible Baptist Church in Cromwell and a former member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Newington. Besides his wife Bobbie, he is survived by his son, Cliff Chakraborty and his wife Rupal and two lovely grand daughters, Gabriella and Abigail of Staten Island, NY; and his first wife Evelyn Chakraborty and his few immediate family in India Funeral Services are on Wednesday, May 4th 2016 at 12 Noon at Carlson Funeral Home, 45 Franklin Square, New Britain. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, 120 Smalley Street, New Britain. Calling hours are Wednesday morning from 11 to 12 noon at the funeral home.
