FLEMING, Paul James Paul James Fleming, 78, of Wethersfield, died peacefully Saturday, (February 12, 2005) at St. Francis Hospital. He was born in Bradford, PA on Aug. 5, 1926, son of the late Albert and Mary (Pfiffer) Fleming. He was a graduate of RPI. He was an injured veteran of World War II in Germany. He worked at CL&P and Northeast Utilities for 39 years. He volunteered for Meals on Wheels and Taxes for the Elderly. He was a member of the #169 Infantry and helped with the development of the Hartford County 4H Camp. He enjoyed making and collecting model railroads, stamp collecting, carpentry, cooking and traveling. Paul leaves his wife of 51 years, Mary (Fenton) Fleming; four children, David and Lynn Fleming of Wethersfield, Peter and Gloria Fleming of Redwood City, CA, Margaret Wichowski of Middletown and Joan and Jeff Smith of Middletown. He also leaves his grandchildren, Lyndsay, Timothy, and Courtney Fleming, Erin Clark, Connor Fleming, Catherine, Melissa, Mary and Teresa Wichowski and Paul and Samantha Smith. A Graveside Service will be held Tuesday, Feb. 15 at 10 a.m. at Rose Hill Memorial Park. Calling hours will be Monday, 4-7 p.m. at Rose Hill Funeral Home, 580 Elm St., Rocky Hill. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Glastonbury VNA, the MS Society, 1155 Silas Deane Highway, Wethersfield, CT 06109 or the American Heart Association, 2550 US Highway 1, North Brunswick, NJ 08902.
