GIORDANO, Peter P. Peter P. Giordano, of 60 Marcy Dr., Southington, died Tuesday, (March 30, 2004) at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford, surrounded by his loving wife, daughter, son-in-law and family. He was the beloved husband of Marion (Marotto) Giordano. Born in Meriden the son of the late James and Josephine (Figlioli) Giordano. He served as a medical technician in a MASH unit of the U.S Air Force in the Azores. Mr. Giordano owned and operated Pete's Catering Co. He also was a numismatist and operated a coin store in Meriden for many years. He retired from Weiner's Clothing Store in Newington. Mr. Giordano was a parishioner of St. Thomas Church. He was also enjoyed playing golf, doing crossword puzzles, attending the theater and being with his family and friends. In addition to his wife, he leaves a daughter and son-in-law, Deana Giordano-Gallo and Michael P. Gallo of Southington; three sisters, Ann Nagle of ME, Gloria and her husband John Carta, and Amelia Giordano all of Middletown and many loving nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three brothers Anthony Jr., Armand, and Dominic, two sisters, Ceil Dobson and Rose Couture. The Funeral will be held on Saturday at 9:15 a.m. from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. to St. Thomas Church at 10 a.m. Burial with Military honors will be in St. Thomas Cemetery.
