Ralph Edward Cioffari

CIOFFARI, Ralph Edward Ralph Edward Cioffari, 88, of West Hartford, husband of 43 years to Elizabeth (Zichello) Cioffari, passed away on Thursday (July 31, 2008) after a long illness. Born in Mount Vernon, NY on November 24, 1919, son of the late Donato and Lucia Cioffari, he had lived in West Hartford for over 40 years. Ralph graduated from Manhattan College in 1947 with a business degree and enjoyed a lifelong career in sales. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy serving during World War II. He was an avid NY Yankees and NY Giants fan and loved watching the games with his children and grandchildren. Besides his wife, he leaves four children, Anthony Cioffari and his wife MaryAnn of Midland Park, NJ, Paul Cioffari and his wife Christine of Avon, Elizabeth Bourquin and her husband Peter of Avon, Steven Cioffari of Willington and a stepson William Hambly of West Hartford; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Ralph was predeceased by a brother, Joseph Cioffari. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, 10 a.m. in The Church of St. Helena, Echo Lane, West Hartford. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, West Hartford. There are no calling hours. Donations in Ralph's memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 279 New Britain Ave., Kensington, CT 06037.
